The World of Chaos has returned to the internet, recharged and with many new features

05-VIII-2024 The World of Chaos has been revived

The World of Chaos was a project I started in 1999, at this time known as El Mundo del Caos (spanish versión), to share my experiments and programming projects with the developer community. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue maintaining it and it ended in 2008. If you want to see the full story, visit the Museum section.

But now in the year 2024, The World of Chaos (www.theworldofchaos.com) has risen from the ashes like a phoenix and released in English so that it can be seen by more people around the world.

I would like you to tell me in our GuestBook how the programs you found on this website helped you, what your projects are or anything related to The World of Chaos. Thank you very much.

21-IX-2002 Fractal X for Windows 1.28

After a long time without updating the web, I have corrected some broken links and updated the [u]section of “C++/fractals gallery” with the FractalX program in its version 1.28, which supports among other new features, exporting the effect of traveling to the center of the fractal as an AVI video. Download it now….

21-IX-2002 Updated Projects Section

The projects section has been better organized. It is now divided into two subsections: Flash Projects and C/C++ Projects.3 new Flash projects were also added: Executor FreeSocket The Kaos 3D Engine.

21-IX-2002 Repowered C++ Gallery

Now the search for programs in the C++ Gallery is much easier, since we have added a sorting system by different fields: Date, Preference, Alphabetical, Size. We have also added a Top Ten, that is to say, the 10 most preferred programs by our visitors, this will surely be of great help to find faster and easier the program you are looking for.

17-IX-2002 Welcome to the EL MUNDO DEL CAOS++ (WORLD OF CHAOS++)

Today we are releasing the new version of CHAOS WORLD, in which I have been working for some months, as you will see, if you visited us on another occasion, the design of the WEB has changed completely and some sections have been increased and enriched, and now we are using the latest technologies for its development, such as php, mysql, flash and xml. It is very difficult for me to summarize in a single paragraph the hard work and hardships I have gone through, but I promise that there is a lot of knowledge and fun looking at the more than 70 experiments and programs I have uploaded. Some of them are old experiments that I repurposed and documented. In the projects section you can see my best projects, some of which are still under development and others that I have already finished.[br][br]Later I will encourage interactivity with the whole community, adding a weblog so you can give your opinion about every little thing on this website. There is still pending the section “Our Gallery” where you can publish and share your programs, experiments, animations with the whole community of developers.

17-IX-2002 The Experimental Box

This is the new great section that we release today. In this last year Flash movies have taken the lead in design products, vector animation, and interactivity for the WEB, leaving behind Java applets in these aspects. That is why I have prepared a series of experiments developed in Flash to easily show that you can make interactive movies using some algorithm that we have ever seen. For this we use the Action Script programming language, which is similar to C.

17-IX-2002 The Chaos World 3D Forums

The Forums3D are dedicated to discuss everything related to C/C++, Flash, ActionScript in the topics of development of interactive movies, videogames or mathematical topics. If you have any questions on these topics or want to find a solution to a problem you can do it here. This is a new community of programmers, where there is an exchange of ideas and experience to improve and perfect our knowledge.

17-IX-2002 What does Yacsha mean?

Yacsha is the nick or pseudonym of the author of this WEB, for those who don’t know me, my name is Jose Luis De La Cruz Lazaro. Everyone will think it is a very strange nick, but it has a special reason, it is the acronym in spanish for “I Learned C++ Without Human Help” (Yo aprendí C++ sin humana ayuda), as a reminder of my old times as a student of this language.

Update 2024: The acronym means that I learned C++ in a self-taught way and on my own, I clarify this because nowadays it can be misinterpreted that I learned with artificial intelligence that is so fashionable, but at that time in 2002 that technology was not accessible and one had to manage on one’s own hehe

17-IX-2002 Why MIDI music?

I’m sure some people will say what a horror!!!, MIDI background music in these times…etc, etc. But the reason is simple. A MIDI music occupies an average of 17KB per minute, so I have easily been able to place more than 30 minutes of background music, selectable and customizable, nothing to do with the Loop Sound that for 30 seconds weighs 100KB and to be listening to the same tune all the time, because it tires. However, it is necessary to clarify that to achieve a better sound quality you must download a good MIDI driver, I recommend the free driver Wingroove, which has a CD-AUDIO quality. If I didn’t convince you, you still have the option to disable Music in the bottom left menu.

17-IX-2002 ¿Unlimited Programming?

Why the web changed its slogan? is perhaps one of the questions that have arisen. Before our slogan was only C++ programming, but the web has been maturing and now we are touching new topics and technologies that will help us better develop in the three fundamental parts of this web (Art, C++ and Mathematics), a consequence of this is the programming and graphic design, to achieve simultaneity, interactivity and attractiveness.

That’s why now THE WORLD OF CHAOS is Unlimited Programming…
